Grab a Cold Drink and Take a Deep Breath

One of the Super Heroes cousins was really sick and had to go to the hospital. While he was in the hospital his dad got the same sickness and he was admitted to the hospital as well. We felt so bad for all of them but especially for our cousin's mom because all the weight of this trial falls on her shoulders since she still had two children at home while having 2 family members in the hospital.

The Super Heroes daddy has been in the hospital many many times. He has had numerous back surgeries because of an Army related injury so we understand how stressful it is. So we knew we had to do something to help.

We LOVE Sonic, especially during Happy Hour, Super Roy and Super Dad picked us up a soda on the way home from picking Roy up from school. So we had this awesome soda holder. I knew we could do something cute with it...

Here is what we decided to do:

Roy signing the Super Heroes names to the card.

The card said: "Grab a Cold Drink and Take a Deep Breath"

Roy taping the note to the drink carrier that we decorated with color paper.

Dallas adding some treats :)
Now keep in mind we live in Las Vegas. It is HOT here so we couldn't add any chocolate or anything like that. We had to get creative.

Dakota adding some treats.

The finished product.
We put waters, drink pouches, cookie mix, graham crackers, lots of popcorn packs, and cracker jack popcorn mix.

Heavy!

They LOVE to ring the doorbell and run. It is their favorite thing to do.

We hope they enjoy their gift and realize that we have been thinking of them during this time.

Calling All Super Heroes...

I know, I know...it has been a while. We have still been around soaring high in our Super Hero capes performing various acts of service but we have had much going on, a family member pasted away suddenly, I (the mommy) received a new Church calling where I am working with teenagers (so that has taken most of my time) and we have also just been busy with life in general to blog about all of them.

For Valentine's Day we took roses to a 2 different older widowed women in our neighborhood. The boys loved this one. They were smiling from ear to ear. Sorry I couldn't get any pictures. I had my camera but the women didn't have their hair done and they said no to us taking the pictures. Sad but true. But we understood. I know we did another service as well but I can't remember it right now, sorry ;)

We are having a busy week. We have 3 services planned and will carry them out between now and Friday. Wow, makes me tired just thinking about it :)

Now onto our first service. As many of you know, it is teacher appreciation week right now. And it is critical that Super Heroes give thanks to those to assist them. So we put together this small gift to show our thanks.

Roy sent a bag of peanuts with a note that said:
"I am totally Nuts about you! Thanks for being a terrific teacher!"

Roy is signing his name to the gift.

Taping the note to the bag of peanuts.

Roy's gift is ready :)

Dallas and Dakota are in preschool and they have 5 teachers. I only had 1 bag of peanuts so we made that one for their main teacher and we also sent packages of cookies to the helper teachers.

The card for the Oreo cookies said: " Thanks for making us such smart cookies!"

A close up of Roy's finished gift :)
There are no Super Hero capes for this service but instead there is backpacks for transporting the gifts :) Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

Wow where did the year go!

Hello everyone!

We wanted to check in and let you know that our goal when we started this blog was to complete at least one service each month for a year. Well that year time frame ended. It was not always the easiest of tasks and at times I wondered how I had the time to complete everything but we are happy to report that we always did at least one service (most months many more than one) each month. If there is a will there is a way :)

But there is no need for you to worry we still plan on completing services. We had so much fun this past year we can't even imagine not performing more services.

We may not post/blog about all of them (we didn't blog about all of them we did last year either) . And I may not get around to blogging about them every month but we will still be going them. I still plan on blogging about them I just want to have a disclaimer here just in case ;)

We have a few services in the works and are excited to share them with you all soon.

A Super Hero Photo Shoot

Happy New Year everyone! I wanted to share some pictures that we recently took at a photo shoot. Our family was all dressed up in our Super Hero gear.

If you received our Christmas card or saw the picture of our Christmas card here on the website you have seen a few of these already but I wanted to share some of them since I thought they turned out so cute (if I do must say so myself).

And if you knew how crazy the kids were the day we took these photo's you would be as shocked as I was that any of the pictures turned out.

Enjoy!!!
